Rant about unimportant things: Nabisco screwed me

Out of like 10 Oreos :swear1:

OK, Oreos are my favorite cookie, but I indulge in them very rarely, kind of like fast food. So today I'm in Walmart and pass by a stand of Oreos and I think, man it's been awhile, so I picked up a pack. They were 3 bucks which is .50 cents more than I usually pay when I catch them on sale but like I said, it's been awhile. When I put them in my cabinet, I noticed something...the package is MUCH smaller. I looked at the serving size and yup, 3 cookies and 12 servings or 36 cookies. The old packages contained 45 cookies, I know because there were 3 stacks of 15 cookies...3 servings.:evilgrin:

So to sumarize, World is on fire and falling apart...I'm upset about cookie prices. This is what a political talk ban has reduced me to!!!!!

ok... not to justify... but SUGAR is up... it happens... big companies can not afford to sell at a LOSS so they cut the product size or raise the price... get over it... did you post when GAS went up... it is just business...

Someone was selling them deep fried at a cruise in, I took the bait. Extremely rich, I could only eat one. Not very good either....but I could see how others like them.

Speaking of gas prices.
Anyone remember the little shortage during the fall of 2007?
All stations were price gouging the heck out of customers.
Here in Georgia the Mayor put a cap on price around 5.20ish I think.
So what does Shell do, they stop shipping gas to Georgia stations.
It was pretty shitty, I live right beside SC their Shell station had gas.
Took a trip to Florida that week, sure enough as soon as I cross the boarder Shell stations had gas.
Ever since then I avoid Shell at all cost, that level of greed is inexcusable.

Hey, atleast Oreos are still available. The sale of Twinkies (there was only one company/entity to enter a bid, which was the minimum opening bid) was just approved. The deal should be final by April so maybe we'll see them hitting the shelves again by the end of summer?

I was in a Rogersville historic festival and one booth had EVERYTHING deep fried. Every candy bar and cookie you could imagine, plus a few things you wouldn't imagine.....lot of fat people in Rogersville.

It's one thing to increase the price but when they just package it to hide there is less there......makes me mad. Everything from Ice cream to cough drops are doing those sneaky changes.

Agreed! They should emblazon the package with "Same Price! Smaller Size!" as they do when they go the other way.
