Knocked a wire loose - Where does it connect?

I was replacing vacuum hoses on the back of the engine and I knocked a wire/connector lose. I can't see where it is meant to be re-connected. It has an orange and a purple wire and comes out of the wiring bundle from the firewall. You can see the connector here sitting on top of the fuel distributor.

Anyone know?

You're good. That one doesn't connect to anything. It's a diagnostic socket that you connect a dwell meter to so you can adjust the engine's CO. It rests back there out of the way until it needs to come out for a test.

Me neither until I was starting to get ready to do some work and really taking a look inside the engine compartment. I thought I had something disconnected, too. The plug usually gets tucked in the back behind the fuel distributor area and you never notice it.

The male plug/tab (on the orange) is connected to a dwell meter by means of an alligator clip on the dwell meter.

Actually it plugs into a mating connector going to the stock diagnostic plug. But it's better to keep it unplugged and use that orange wire for the dwell meter.
