That's pretty cool, but why is the last digit blank?

Is that a BTTF thing?

I thought it was weird too but then I looked up the screenshot.

It would appear as though they messed up on several of the numbers. Geeze, talk about poor quality

Very cool, but the numbers not being correct would drive my OCD wild.
I really like the Alternate 1985 shirt they also sell:

Depends which screenshot though I guess. That minute or two chase around the mall parking lot flashes a couple different odo numbers... and once or twice it goes backwards. 33,060 miles or so and then back to 32,950 or something like it on the next scene, then back up to the higher number.

Perhaps the t-shirt is intentionally and accurately inaccurate?

That's already screwed up as well. The bottom one should say 1985A.

Excellent ideas, but poor execution. Looks like i have a plan for my 170mph speedo! By the way, my drill can hit about 80 when connected to the cable...

Hi all! My name is John, I run Santa Carla Boardwalk. It's total coincidence that I saw this first off! I was looking into a DeLorean for some promo stuff here and I just saw the thread! I want to thank you guys for the comments - they've been noted. Actually, we've now changed the Alternate 1985 to include the 'A' - see...

The other one - well, we didn't use the digits from the movie still you guys referenced - so we're not worried about that. However maybe you can clear something up for us - when we researched this design we saw that the actual speedo only goes up to 85mph

Did they change it for the movie for the purpose of being able to hit 88mph or was it something else?

Thanks again people!!

Yes, there was a 95mph overlay decal applied to the stock 85mph speedo face.

Thanks again guys for your advice and help. Before I check out, I just wanted to share our advert. I hope you'll like it, we tried to get the DeLorean as realistic as possible.
