So, for those of you who have purchased the LED window switches, you'll know that these units are a bit longer than the stock ones; and therefore, they have a tendency to hit the underbody of the car before the switches are fully seated in.
How did everyone go about correcting/fixing this issue so the switches rest in their crevices as they should?
Dave of DMC-MW once told me of a fix where you place a piece of wood underneath the center console in a certain spot and it raises the armrest area of the center console enough to where the window switches can sit like they should. At the time, I should have written the instructions down; I just didn't know a full-on door locking circuit adventure, followed by WingsALoft, and a VOD teardown was all going to happen before I could get back to this window switch situation.
Dave, you're more than welcome to tell us here those instructions and it'll be here to reference from now on :D.
Everyone else, what did you all come up with to fix this hangup?
