Well i took the coil off cleaned the connectors and put it all back together exactly the same, i have even checked the wireing with the delorean electrical book
i turn the key but the starter wont turn over? nothing there, the car was going before i cleaned the coil wires.
a little stuck say the coil isnt even atached would the starter still turn the engine??
It should crank over with the coil disconnected.
Do you hear any clicking when you turn the key?
Did you do ANYTHING else to it?
Is it a stick or auto?

Check your circuit breakers near the fuse box. One of them has 4 wires going to it. Back in 2004, I accidentally knocked one of them loose and off the circuit breaker - start wouldn't even try to engage. Got the wire back on and - boom - all better.

Try removing and plugging in the bulkhead connectors. You may have bumped them working on the coil.
