Wow, that's actually pretty awesome. Very cool info. I'm actually kind of curious why the number of 81's sold is so significantly higher than 82's or 83. There were the most 81's produced right? Still, the margin isn't THAT big right?

Nick, from memory, there are 6700 81's, a few hundred 83's and perhaps 2000 82's

First and last production models often bring more than others, for any car.
And, the 81's had gas flaps, grooved hoods and built in antennas.

How fast have you had yours? Here's what to do, drive it faster than 100, take a picture of the speedometer, and send it to them so. When they see the needle over 100mph they'll surely update the site, haha :wink: :wink: :wink:

Nice! I guess that counts, and is probably a lot more accurate than the dash, haha. I know mine reads about 8% slow at highway speeds. One of these days that will get me in trouble...

That is cool. I spotted mine! One of the lowest prices:smile:. 7/9/12 off of ebay. Didnt know if you click on your dot it will show the listing page. Although he states it "runs down the road fine" I pulled the motor to reseal the whole thing and took the heads to a machine shop to refurbish them and they said it was one of the worst refurb jobs they have seen in 50yrs. PO tried to clean them up and failed horribly

After removing the crap turbos, and doing Stage 1 Stainless Exhaust, replacing Clutch master, Slave, Brake Master, Vacuum Booster, 4 Calipers, Brake Hoses, Fuel Pump, Accumulator, all 6 injectors, Filter, Fuel Distrubitor, New Air Box, Altenator, All new Relays, Fuses, Cooling fans, all new coolant hoses, Heater valve, Over flow tank, new key locks, Spark Plugs and Wires, Distrubutor Cap, Rotor, Engine Mounts, Trans Mounts, Ilder Bearings, Window motor, Some dents and dings, a few other small things, and just for fun I added Wings-A-Loft... And now it is a great car... $18,000 later...

Sound like my story Craig. My car is totally reliable, I drive it about 1/3 the time. Even doing most of the work myself.. it adds up fast.

The good part was the interior was in good shape... I also did front end bushings, and alinement, as it pulled to the right when you tried to stop... And now like you I drive it a lot... and most of it is all new...
