Ok folks here's my car. 62xxx miles 5 speed grey interior. I want to ask opinions on what a realistic asking price is for it. It has recently developed 2 cracks in the dash in a matter of weeks but the binnacle is good. Other then that and the non-working power door locks the car runs great. It's actually been a very reliable daily driver. Everything is in top notch shape for its age and mileage.

Thoughts?????

IMO with the info you've provided that's a $20k car all day long. If I was selling it, that's probably where I'd be. I'm sure others will be quick to point out various unknowns judging from other "what's my car worth" threads.

15k on the low end, 25k on the high end.

I think that car is worth around 24k, it's very clean from the pics, underneath as well.

Chris,

I think you've got it priced right at $20k. It depends on how fast you're looking to sell it. You may want to put it on Ebay so overseas buyers can have an opportunity to purchase it. That seems to be where the money is at these days. Include all the service history from Rob, put a bunch of pictures and a link to a YouTube Video showing the car running and driving.

My wife and I have decided to let the eBay listing run its course just to see what happens. If it doesn't sell for what we'd like to get for it (and even if we do get a serious offer) we will take it off the market for the immediate future. Mainly because I toyed with the idea of selling it before but never seriously looked into and it has stirred up alot of feelings over here. We could always use the cash and I'd like to get her another car but the Delorean is special, 3165 in particular is very special. But at the end of the day 20K is a good chunk of cash and we need to be realistic about the whole thing.

You may want to add a link to the eBay listing here.

I was curious about it this morning, so I did a search and found this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DeLorean-DMC-12-5-sped-/221210520139?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item33812caa4b).

As an eBay member for over 10 years now, the only thing I'd be Leary about is the seller having 0 feedback.

I used to use my wife's eBay account (tupperkeeper101) but she's not a good bussines person so that didn't go all that well. Plus I never sold big ticket items through eBay only bought trinkets so I figured it be good to start fresh.

Regardless I have decided to keep the car and have pulled the ad.
