I made a video of the VOD (Valley of Death) (http://youtu.be/TrcaLZTILlw) with my endoscope.
Looks like I need to do a clean-up soon!

You must be a GI specialist. I agree with your treatment plan.

You were able to see a lot better than I was. When I removed the intake I realized what I was seeing was a VOD full of sand. Good luck on the cleanup.

Just stick a vacuum on the end of your scope ;)

Oh crap, get that clutch fluid out of there ASAP! That stuff will really hurt the block.
Was this one of those cheap USB endoscopes by any chance? I keep seeing them on eBay and thinking how useful one would be.

I got it as a Christmas prezzy - probably $50. It is USB and hooks up to the computer and acts just like a webcam. The camera is on the end of a flexible rod and has four little LEDs. It has been very useful for doing inspections without having to rip things apart just to see what is going on. It for sure saved me pulling the clutch slave cylinder out again as I could inspect it in-place & in-action - no leaks after being refurbished.

I discovered the former residence of a mouse in mine last week! Ugh...:sad30:

I'll swear I saw a pre-cancerous polyp in there............:bootyshake: Can you tell us more about the scope? I could see some benefits of getting one.

I thought he had "borrowed" one from work, he being a Dr and all that.
Going to suggest that he gives it a good clean before it is returned to its intended service.
But I'd be very interested in a $50 one.

Much enjoyed that.
...although I enhanced it by making up my own Jacque Cousteau voice over, while watching it. :goatee:
HF has a similar camera: Digital Inspection Camera (http://www.harborfreight.com/digital-inspection-camera-67979.html)
With coupons and on sale it gets close to $50... think I saw it on sale for about $69 once.

Ah, I was thinking of one like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/140951318628 - under $20
Cheap, self illuminating, waterproof and more or less disposable if you burn or kill it. Hook to an old laptop or something (I bet all of us have old computers in the garage by now, right?) and away you go.

This is the one I used... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Supereyes-10X-USB-Digital-Mini-7mm-Fxed-Focus-Endoscope-Borescope-Pipe-check-/330698892716
No need to install the software. Windows recognizes it as a USB camera and provides options for capturing pictures or movies.

.
Look at the images carefully, the wires are already visible near the controller!

this is great! Nice Gadget thanx.
BTW, what is all that guey green stuff sitting in the valley? Mixture of oil, gas and antifreeze?
I have seen several De Loreans that had engine fire with the whole rear burned out! Is this the reason? Sitting flammables in the VOD and one little spark or excess heat?
Or does the PRV come with other surprising reasons of self combustion?

Your VOD kind of looks like the xenomorph's hive from the movie Aliens. Just sayin.
