My D is getting the windows tinted this spring, and i will replace every rubber sealing in the process while im in there, as usual :rolleyes1:
Question is: Can i remove this part, http://store.delorean.com/p-9754-fixed-glass-fin-lh.aspx
without screwing something up with the fixed glass ?

I'd like to just say no, but really it depends.
You say your replacing all rubber seals. Well, is this one damaged in any way? If not, I strongly suggest just leaving it alone, and have the tint cut out around it as well. The channel needs to come out to get the seal in. Its held in with rivets, do you want to drill those out just for tint/misewells? If you did this, good luck getting it all back together, because those are some of the toughest assembly items in the car. Add the thickness of the tint, you may not get them back together.
My passenger door did not have this seal (but yet the driver's did?). Never noticed that after 10+ years. I just assumed it had it since my driver's door did (early cars did not). I added mine on the garage floor with the fixed glass removed from the car. It was a PAIN. I couldn't imaging installing it on the car.

The seal tha goes around the fixed glass? I installed mine last summer. They're not that bad to get in. Not sure I would remove them just to to t the glass though.

Ahh, my bad, I thought that part was actually this...

That part will probably pull out without too much difficulty and will not affect the glass. It could be glued in really good though if the PO had anything to say about it.
