Yes, we had a "system crash", if you will, in early 2011 and started up fresh in May 2011.

Do you mean your vin is 20083? A 1983 car.

Or 10083, which would be an 82?

Welcome back btw.

Well if it hasn't run in 20 years, it will probably take more than a clutch...anyway welcome back, and as always pics of the car please!

Wow... Cool another 20 year dead car brought back to life.... Not as a downer... but there is a rule, and it holds pretty true....$1000 a year it has not run... to replace all the damage "sitting" has done... AND welcome!

aha, 20083. I thought that vin seemed memorable.

I remember the thread on the old forum. Someone found a D in a house that had just been listed for sale. I don't recall if they were viewing the house and stumbled across the car in the garage, or if they were the realtor. There was one guy on the old forum who was going back and forth about making an offer and by the time he decided to go for it, it had been sold. Or something like that.

Found a few photos and for the old timers, this photo may ring a bell. New members may get a little shock:

Oh wow! Looks like you've got a collection going there. I'm squinting and trying to see how you have that Fiero suspended to where the D fits under it just perfectly... cool pic - thanks for sharing!

It looks like the front end is on the hood of the gold car, while the back wheels are perched precariously on a pile of cinder blocks :0

The Gold car is my first "new" car 1977 Ford Granada [don't ask LOL] V8 cp I bought Brand new That's sitting there unused since 1998. I used to Keep my Corvette under Fiero, I sold it recently. My son saw empty spot and said to me "Dad You need a DeLorean!" LOL Lookin forward to a fun time here on Forum.. Thank you for the rewelcome! ED

I remember the original thread as well. It was a great DeLorean find and purchase story. I hope the car can be brought back to life again. Best part is driving them!
