Side Mirror

I'm at a loss for how to remove the sideview mirrors.... :confused0: I took the inner panel off and unscrewed it, but it's the wire for the power mirror that is got me lost. I broke the little clip that holds the mirror to the base. Got a new one, but since the wire goes THROUGH it, I obviously need to unplug the wire.... but from where? I can't find the other end of it buried in the door (I'm trying to avoid pulling off the lower inner trim), and most of the plugs in there seem to be quite large, won't fit through the 3/8" ID of the retainer clip. Does it somehow unplug behind the mirror itself? Any pictures? Thanks guys!

Take off the lower trim... sorry :(

If yours is like mine, the wire is routed over the stiffener and you'll have no way to remove it without the trim off. It will become instantly obvious once that's out of the way.

Just another rite of passage as an owner... bring your duct tape and band-aids :)

Well that kinda sucked. Had to pull the pins out of the harness plug. And somehow the wires seemed about 2" shorter when I put it back together. But the clip is on, mirror is good and tight and the power mirror still works, so I'm going to call it a job well done :)
