I was underneath and I noticed the green wire to my starter was severed. What does this do? I don't notice any negative results.
Thanks
Jeff

Ballast resistor bypass during cranking, it boosts the coil voltage from the sag caused by the starter. It actually triggers the relay on the back wall of the engine compartment next to the resistors.
With that missing, the car may be hard to start when the battery is low or cold. I've seen some cars that won't start without it, some don't car. Depends on the Condition of Everything Else.

Ok, thanks! This is a newer rebuilt Stage 2 car, everything in working order. But you are correct, if it's been sitting for a while, a low battery won't start it. I have a trickle charger for that. Man, that wire is hard to get to with headers!

You can splice that wire to the white/red wire up in the bulkhead connectors if you can't get to it. You have to do that anyway if you get the eagle starter.

Great idea - thanks Dave!
