I have new seatbelts I am installing. I have the complete kits for both sides. I have both my interior rear trim panels off and the retracting portions out and the new ones will go in just as easily.
The question I had was regarding the receiving end/receptacle that bolts into the body on the centre console. I would like to put the new ones of these in and was looking at the bolt it is secured in with. Taking it out will be simple, but I was wondering if I need to get a wrench or hand on whatever it is that is behind there in order to get the new one installed? I can see from peering under my car (car is not currently up in the air), that the backside of this bolt hole appears to be up and behind a couple of poorly located coolant hoses.
Anyone done this little job before and know if what this bolt threads into will stay right where it is as I take out the old one and put in the new one? Or is it going to fall down and require me to somehow get my fingers or a wrench up there to hold it in place while I thread the new bolt in from the inside?
