Does anyone have any good pictures as to how the throttle cable is supposed to be run? A mechanic replaced the entire cable (outer and inner) a while ago and it was done wrong. They way that it is currently is that it comes up from the pedal, across the fiberglass towards the heater box, goes down into the passenger footwell along the tunnel side, then back up to the center padding under the storage shelf, then through the firewall into the engine bay.
I never knew this is not how it was supposed to be after many people commented on how hard my pedal was to press. I am under the assumption that it should be routed straight back ON TOP OF the center tunnel fiberglass (right under the center console). Before that though, how is it supposed to be routed from the pedal to past the radio? Does it just snake under the center air vents and then around the radio bracket?
I tried looking at the manuals, but the illustrated pictures leave a lot to the imagination. Any help would be appreciated, as I would like to fix the issue. Having the cable make so many turns and dips before reaching the throttle spool does not allow for full throttle (cable is too short).
