I'm replacing the stock radio switch mount plate with one of DMCH's single-DIN plates. However, the stock plate has both a rubbery pad on the underside of the top (I believe this is part 108529, please correct me if I'm worng), and a yellow foam pad around the outside of the top. What kind of pad would be suitable to replace this yellow foam? Or is it not considered necessary?

Gently peel it off the old bracket and glue it onto the new one. Free.

That was my first instinct, but it's adhered on there really, really well. I don't think I can remove it without tearing it. Same goes for the pad underneath.

Do you have a heat gun? A little heat and a steady hand should do the trick.
