So I have finally purchased a new frame and engine for 774, including stock wheels although they have been painted black and the entire suspension. The frame is FAR better than what I had found in my car, in fact its a sight for sore eyes. Sure there is very slight rust on some edges but nothing unexpected and totally workable. The only area that calls for serious attention are the crumple tubes. Like my first frame these are pretty rusty and it appears the PO had cut some pieces of them away for some custom steering set up

So I am curious if any one on here has the dimensions to rebuild the front extension. Either from scratch or just repairs. After this ill be pretty set to mate the body and frame together and have this car rolling for the first time in years. Pics to follow.

I don't know of any place I've seen dimensions for that. Vendors have replacement crumple extensions, probably easiest to just get 1 of those.

BTW I saw that chassis in person, I would highly recommend some repairs to the rear frame also. There were some pretty rotted/thin spots back there from what I could see without even laying under the car.

Yep, just replace the whole thing:

Mine was in bad shape too so I had it replaced with the above. Just be careful with it's install as it needs to be aligned perfectly before being welded to the frame. DMC-NW used a special jig when installing mine.
