This is from 2510. I thought I had it running beautifully then when I went to start it later it was back to crap. So I'm covering all my bases.

This WUR has that copper thing. I can't tell if its good or not. It doesn't look porous to me, but I know that doesn't mean its necessarily bad.

Thoughts?

last weekend i pulled my WUR/CPR and found an even bugger bung of copper stuff inside. I pulled it out and the car runs much better. solved most of my cold start problems

You saying it ran good then bad and what looks like ?specks of trash? in the filter's port makes me suspect your fuel system is contaminated...Maybe just the way it looks in the pic to me tho.

I thought the copper sponge-thing was supposed to be there?

Same. Dave Swingle said it was just the new type of filter.

That's kind of what i thought. It's hard to picture it passing gas. Ha.

It's a brass filter...it looks like it has caught little specks of something in the pic to me...they are in and around it??
Maybe I'm seeing parts of it hanging out of the retainer or ?? Never seen one look that fuzzy if that is the case??
:dunno:

I cannot see how it would adequately let fuel pass through, but ill ask Toby.

It only needs to allow enough fuel through to adjust the Control Pressure...think of trying to stop up a sink with a coarse Brillo Pad (w/o packing it).

So, there was no loose material of any kind in there?

No I didn't see any loose material.
