Electrical Quandries and General Dur?'s

Hey All!

So my new love #10588 has some ...different stuff then I've seen in most pictures, and books. I figured I could post my electrical setup (fuse box) and possibly I could get some idea of what I've got, what I need, and what some of the items are!

Picture 1! the main fuse box. Looks like in 2011 the relays were replaced, I see where the fan relay usually goes, I have these fuse extensions...

Picture 2! This one has the mysterious white plug at the top. It reaches nothing, it has no reciever. What could it be for?

Just curious if anyone sees anything out of sorts. I'm more curious about the plug and the relay set I have installed. Thanks again!

The white plug is for a hot start relay that was never used.

Relays look good.

What do you mean by fuse extensions?

You are missing the extra fuse for the power locks.

Everything else looks OK

Your photos look like a correct set up. The blank white socket is normaly not connected to anything. The yellow jumpers are the correct replacement for the fan fail unit that was found to be faulty.

Remove the cover over the fuses and put it nearby, it holds heat and that is not good for the fuses. Check each fuse to be sure it is the correct size for it's position. Look for signs of heat damage. Keep some extra fuses nearby for emergencies. You should add a 10 A inline fuse on the big red wire going to the door lock module in place of the circuit breaker. Check the sizes of the 2 circuit breakers. If they are stock they should be uprated. All of the Delorean venders sell a "Relay Upgrade Kit". It looks like you may already have it from DMCH. Your car looks very stock and clean. DMCH sells a very nice sticker that identifies all of the relays and fuses. If you call DMCH with your vin # they may be able to tell you some history on your car, what parts were ordered, etc.
