One thing I noticed is my recirculation vent (on the top right of the footwell on the passenger's side, above the blower) OPENS when I have it on MAX AC and it CLOSES when it's on NORM AC. To my knowledge, this isn't right. I think the recirc vent should be closed when on MAX AC.
I checked the routing of my hoses on the back of the mode switch and everything seems to be in the right place.
1) Is this right?
2) What else might be the cause? Faulty mode switch?
Thanks!

MAX is Recirculate. When the door is open (i.e. you see it go in) it draws air from inside the car. When the door is closed (vent and all other modes) the air comes in under the windshield.

Got it. I was under the impression that when the door opens, it was drawing air from the outside/under the windshield. Thanks again, Dave!
