Fun to watch people stand around it and get pictures

Hey, it's been moved !

Where is it hiding now?

Is this the "A" car? I thought it was recently restored. Something looks odd on the front. The fascia is still warped and the flux-bands on the front look like the brackets are bent or broken.

The A car is at Universal Hollywood, this one is at Universal Florida

Ahhh - too much to keep up with! Thanks for clarifying.

Thats a poorly done repli-car . The Mr fusion seems way too tall.

That car used in Part 3 during the train scene where the car pops a wheelie. There is no engine in it and car is moved with a forklift. Terrible shape..

It's true. There are several large brackets connected to the frame in the rear that were used for initiating the wheelie.

It was in pretty sad shape. Up close it is very rough. It's next to the Jules Verne train that was used. What really made me smile though was how many people were coming up wanting pics with the car..considering all the other photo opportunities at Universal. It was tucked in to a more out of the way spot but when people saw it they were like "Hey! The Delorean! Take my picture!"

We should get a Kickstarter together to have that car restored like the A car. Florida deserves a good looking Time Machine just as much as California ;)

I stand corrected then. To bad they did not leave the Train wheels on it.

Since when is there no engine in it? From what I recall, this car used to be driven to and from its spot in the park, but then it became a permanent display. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never heard that the engine was removed.

Oh boy,
If I were to visit Universal @ Florida all exited to see the BTTF car and saw this sorry excuse for a BTTF..... I'd be so...:mad2:

Who in the world did they assign this replica? Mr. Fusion looks like a Chinese replica. The front bumper stainless mesh and wiring is all wrong and the rear...
Oh don't get me started with that :(((((

So many wrong copies of that seen on screen. Shame on them! Absolutely no respect to the creators of the time machine or to the visitors who are looking to stand next to the real deal!

Look at that!

the visitors who are looking to stand next to the real deal!

In my experience, any DeLorean is a "time machine" to most people.

when I was in Florida two years ago the Delorean and train were located where they do the Blues Brother's song and dance, it looks like it has been moved, I don't recall there being a shipping box beside it.

Another pic I found of the Universal DMC. Appears that I was wrong about it not having an engine:banghead:

I was down last weekend, and this poor thing seems to be regressing into the vegetation

yes, it has plant life on it now :(

Particularly jarring as the Bluesmobile was actually driving around the park

No! The idiot is the person who put that terrible mr fusion on the back.... As if there weren't enough Krups coffee grinders on eBay...

youre an idiot.

Typical DMC talk response it seems. Seems to me your response is what is idiotic. It doesn't help anyone understand anything and CERTAINLY didnt answer my question. I think it was a simple question that Chris burns could answer for himself.
No need to be an insulting jerk.

Why aren't people treated with respect on this site?
Why do the insulters and bullies go unnoticed by mods?

The oversized Mr. Fusion never bugged me that much. It is rather ridiculous, but I considered it part of the story line to the ride. Since Doc's original DMC met it's demise in Part 3, we're now seeing his new Delorean (and 8-passenger Deloreans) retrofitted with perhaps the first generation Mr. Fusion, versus the sleeker Krups version available in 2015. Plus that was what the Institute of Future Technology was all about, bringing us the world of tomorrow, today!

I meant absolutely nothing mean by asking Chris about the delorean. Josh has understood by innocence on this issue as can be seen on dmctoday Chris burns thread.

I don't know Chris Burns nor do I have anything against him. I am genuinely interested in the gift from Josh at DPI.

Just wanted to clear that up here.

Peace.

Not that it matters, but you made your original post directed at Chris thinking he was an active participant in the thread. His last post was in June of 2013. Not exactly Active.

Oh, how embarrassing, I didn't notice the date of his post, I was looking at the thread and I saw his name so I asked. Although the response was harsh, I understand it even more now.

In hindsight a simple pm to Chris would have avoided this entire situation.
But it WAS a mistake, I still don't think that warrants calling me an idiot without any explanation.

Carry on.
