The switch itself is called "window lift switch" according to the DMCH parts website.
Presumably and consequently the connector would be called "window lift switch connector"?

Hmmm... not sure I've seen replacement connectors as stand alone items. I'd expect if one of the vendors chimes in they can tell you if they have a box of loose ones that you could use.

I did see a rather odd looking picture of the cable ties on the main harness page, #23 on the link above...

As for a trade name or series of connector. NO

Unfortunately, connector housing is NOT AVAILABLE as a separate part. While a connector housing is available out there to OEM's that utilize that style switch, I have not been successful at tracking it down as an individual (sale item) . The closest I've come is a Universal Aftermarket window lift kit that uses that same style switch and comes with connector.( Connector not sold separately).

For now your choices are:

1. Get a couple USED connectors cut off from a (parts car) harness ,or

2. Remove the connector entirely (or IF adding a switch) replace it or use size 3/16 aka(.187) female terminals (14-16 ga. Blue). This is the most common option.

Those White Connectors are not available anywhere unfortunately. And what they are called I never did find out.
I tried a long time ago and gave up and finally used individual female terminals as seen in the picture below.

I have included my other picture of my melted Window Switch White Connectors. I took the picture back in January 2008.

Yes, these are what I am looking for. The connector seems to be standard across many switches, I don't think it was particular to the DeLorean.

I can use female terminals but it'd be nicer to have a connector. Oh well.

Beautiful. Any idea how these terminals are assembled? Do they require a special crimping tool?

Ooooh, pretty nice looking clock on that website too... but I think the dimensions of it are just a bit too big. Good find though. Looks like a number of things that would work on our cars.

Good luck getting hold of them, though... to say nothing of sending them back to China if they aren't the right part! :P

Here is my temporary-to-long-term solution: I assembled pigtails to the switches and put Molex connectors on the other end. The pigtails extend back to where the coin tray is, so I can disconnect them there.

Thanks! To me it really seems like a stopgap, but I tried to make it as neat and user-friendly as possible. (Tip: if you do this, make the Molex connectors reversed between the switches -- that way, you can never have the switches on the wrong sides. I've done that before with the stock wiring...)

Good thinking. Doesn't seem stop-gap at all to me, the factory configuration with those rebar-stiff wrapped bundles is awful. Your solution lets you relocate the plugs, loosen up the wiring, shorten the switch height... all in one shot. The only thing that might need some careful thought (for me) is that I wouldn't want to modify the factory harness too much - so I'd end up with basically double the volume of wire under the center console :)
