Just make your own with fresh wires and 3mm crimp pins and connectors from BritishWiring.com :)

+1
The new wire will be much more flexible.

Very true... Any idea where I can find factory connectors? That's the only issue making my own harnesses

They have the connectors but only in white. BritishWiring.com

BritishWiring.com sells the connectors which plug into the bulkhead connectors, but not the bulkhead connectors themselves. That is to say they don't sell panel-mount male multi-wire connectors. But they sell the proper 3mm brass terminals, both male and female. I've used their replacement parts all over my car.
Examples here (http://www.britishwiring.com/7-Way-3mm-Pin-Socket-Connector-p/c827.htm) and here (http://www.britishwiring.com/9-Way-3mm-Pin-Socket-Connector-p/c829.htm).

FWIW: the 9-way connector is currently out of stock.

^lol just my luck
Where can I go or search to learn all the connectors I will need? Trying to figure out what I need left for the engine to run
Water temp sensor
Oil press sensor
Distributor power
Electric choke
Alternator
Piecing stuff together, just need to figure out what can stay any idea of where I can go for a wiring diagram? Or pin out sheet?

Right here (http://dmctalk.org/showthread.php?40-All-Wiring-Schematics&p=52873&viewfull=1#post52873) on DMCTalk is Dave Delman's pinout of the bulkhead terminals. :)

Have I told u, u are the man?!
Farrar what did u do to ur wiring harness? Did u just unplug was want necessary and let it hang or did u cut it up?
Also what did u do for ur distributor? I see in those schematics there's a wiring harness coming from the coil to the dizzy and then the dizzy to the dmc's ecu did u just unplug them?
When I talked to bill all those years ago I don't remember him mentioning having to alter the dizzy or coil, in gonna have to hunt around in the carb section and see
I like Dave's pin outs at the end of those pictures, I'm curious to how much I can delete and still have the engine run! Lol

I did not know about BritishWiring.com until I had already done my carb conversion. :(
What I did was after the conversion, I went over to the bulkhead connectors, traced each to its end, and removed the harnesses that weren't being used. Then I unwrapped all of the ones that were left, and cut off the individual wires that went to things that were no longer being used. I made some mistakes along the way -- accidentally cut off the power for the engine compartment light -- oops!
If I had known about BritishWiring.com at that time I would have made my own harnesses for choke heater, etc. But life is full of "I wish I knew then what I know now," so live and learn, right? :)
In fact, when I get some more cash together I plan on making another order from them so I can make a fresh harness, because some of the stock wires which I am still using are far too long, and instead of shortening them I just made a loop and tied it with a zip-tie. It's pretty ugly back there!

Yeah that's how I have done a few engine swaps, use the factory harness and trace everything to where it goes
I've also wired a few race cars and made my own harnesses with painless products and its very nice every wire is labeled where to go
Once I get on a pc im going to edit Dave's bulkhead pic and make alittle red X's of what I think I can delete ( on my case makin a harness not add lol)
Then ill post it up and see if these guys can check and make sure I didn't miss anything

U guys are great!! Is there a thread about what u use to fill the injectors? Do the injectors thread in? It's been so long I forgot, and do u use bolts that just thread into where the injectors go?

The injectors sit in rubber boots which are held down with clips.
I used high-temperature silicone plugs for my injector holes. I ordered them from McMaster-Carr. I tried looking up the product on their website, but they only keep order history for two years back. Sorry about that.
To figure out which plug to use, I measured the injector boot and ordered a tapered plug with the same diameter at the small end. Works perfectly. They're orange, but I don't care. Do you have a boot to measure? If not, I'll go and pull one of my silicone plugs and measure it for you.
EDIT: I found it -- product number 9277K82 from McMaster (http://www.mcmaster.com/#9277K82). Comes in packs of 25, so you'll have some spares. ;)

I wish this forum had rep point system because I'd be racking up ur rep history!!
Farrar do u have a close up picture of the plugs?
Do u use bolts to hold the silicone plugs in?!

No, I don't use bolts. They're just slightly bigger than the injector bungs, so once I press them in with my thumb, they're not going anywhere until I pull them out again, and they're vacuum-tight.
I'll get a pic for you later today when I go out to work on the car.

How is it they don't come shooting out? Nothing holds them in beside the force u shoved them in with?
Wonder if copper header silicone would be a good idea to put on them when installing them?

The fit is good enough for me. I guess if the engine started backfiring, one could come out, but that's never happened to me. At least one other owner in my area has the same setup; he hasn't had a problem, either. If you have a vacuum leak there, you'd sure know it.

Is your setup the same as what bill use to do or are u being a rouge farrar ;)

It's similar, but my fuel pump setup is different. Also, Bill sticks cut-off bolts in place of the injectors. I don't like that option because you still need the stock clips and boots, and the boots can still fail causing a vacuum leak and are expensive to replace. So I use those silicone plugs instead.

U don't happen to have pics of his setup do u? And I would love to see ur setup too!
I thought that's what bill did was replace the injector with a bolt and I remember seeing a weird clip on top... If my car wasnt all locked up and easy to get too I'd go check myself but its in storage 8 miles from my house

I don't have any photos of his setup, but I have a few of mine on hand.
Here's a picture showing the location of the fuel filter.

Here is one of the silicone plugs in an injector bung.

And here's an overall view of my engine compartment, before I changed all the air/vacuum hoses to blue silicone and wrapped most everything up in wire loom. Not much to look at, really.

Aaahh I see the plugs now, I was looking at Steve's engine pic and remember u saying they were orange and saw some in his pic
And u just shove them in there tight
I don't mind doing that but I'm still hunting for bills bolt setup
Another question I have is are those ports that come out of the head that hold the injector, are those ports pressed into the head or cast? If they are pressed in or even removable I am gonna hunt and see if I can get 6 more, If I can ill just drill and tap them and put a bung in there
Everything I've done to my car I have it so it can go back to original that's my only gripe when modding the DMC is that I have to do it so I can bring it back to original
Thanks for the pics farrar u got any of ur fuel pump setup?

My problem as well... I always have to think "This can be reversed, just in case..."
My fuel pump setup is in flux. Being an early adopter of Bill's carburetor conversion scheme, I've had problems no other "customer" has had. My fuel pump carrier leaks, and the pump dies from being submerged in fuel. Bill says no one else has had this problem. Fine and dandy for them, but it doesn't help me to know I am alone with this situation. So I am exploring other options for mounting my next fuel pump.
Steve Rice has a piece of pipe where the stock fuel pump would be, straight up from inside the fuel baffle to outside the tank, where he has a 90-degree hose barb on it. He has a short bit of hose between that barb and the fuel pump. I really like that idea. But his fuel pump isn't mounted to anything, it just sits there. I want mine to be more secure -- I don't want my fuel pump bouncing around on top of my tank! I'll let you know when I come up with a solution for where to mount the bracket, and when I mount it I will get some pics for you then. Or if you figure it out first, let the rest of us know. :)
