I need to get $9k out of the car. That's strictly break even. For those that are interested I won the car from the CoPart auction in January for $6300. After CoPart fees, broker fees and shipping from California I'm looking at $9k. Needless to say it's a hard sell and I can make more than that by parting it out. I would rather spend the time on 1045 or my other projects, but this seems to be the fastest way to get 10077 out of here.

The goofy thing is apparently part of the Chapman alarm system. It's not active but I've found a barrel key lock, a switch and extra wiring under the dash and in the battery compartment that I'm guessing are part of it.

This would make a great project for someone who would do all of the work themselves. About $10k in parts would have this car to about 99% assuming there's no hidden surprises.

I'm kinda surprised a DIY'er hasn't snapped it up yet.

There is a possible buyer for the complete car and I will have an answer on Monday. I will proceed with pictures and price quotes this weekend though if the answer on Monday is "no."

The AC parts all sold last night. This is an automatic car so there's no shift boot unless you're talking about the noise isolator?

I think the main difference is if they are mounted to the door or loop through the handle with a ring. As you can see these are mounted in the door panel.

891 was T-boned so every piece of stainless was damaged...except the gas flap hood interestingly enough and only the driver's drop glass survived. That body tub basically consists of a front clip and the rear pontoons now (all for sale).

Dave, the radio works great, the clock on the tape door works and you can set the time. It will save presets and the other buttons work too. The bad news, it plays Chipmunks music really well. Not sure why it's going too fast, but it is. I tried two different tapes and found that fast forward and rewind work as well as the auto reverse...it just plays too fast. Seeing that someone is selling a refurb'd one for $500, how's $250 sound? I'm guessing it's a belt or motor issue. I had a cassette adapter for my iPod, but I think it went with my wagon that had a tape deck. If I locate it I can also check to see if that works which it will even with a broken motor from what I know.

It's in VERY good shape. the stainless is good, no X that I've noticed, but it's dirty and could use a good bath. All carpet sections underneath are there as well as the underhood light. Here's the hood, amazingly it's the ONLY panel that survived from 891:

Hi James, understandable on life getting busy for you at the moment. Whenever you find time to get to the ignition switch, that would be great. If it saves you some effort, skip the door lock cylinders for the time being. I'm focusing on the ignition switch on my car as I have this fear/paranoia that the key receiver is going to fall out again unexpected, and potentially let the steering column interlock engage at a crappy time. Not sure that is even possible, but with how much I sometimes don't like driving this car, it isn't helping my nerves when you go around corners wondering if this is the moment you don't get to steer anymore. The driver's door and rear quarter are both damaged on 10077. *I do have the Driver's door off of 1045 that I'd be willing to sell with the passenger door from 10077 since both are great. *I can also sell you the driver's rear quarter from 1045 to go with the passenger rear quarter from 10077 and are also in great condition, as well as the louvers.

Everyone, I've got some bad news, I got tasked for military orders and left on Wednesday with about 15 minutes notice. I'll be back on October 4th, possibly earlier. I will post here if that happens. Everyone's parts (except for Alex' sizeable order) are all pulled and were to be shipped out this week while I was on leave but obviously that didn't work out. If nobody wants to wait simply say the word and I will refund your payment. My hands are tied right now and I apologize for that. You are referring to a RH escutcheon.
No he does not have any. I asked for one my self.
The ONLY place those are available is at the delorean.eu shop.

Frame pics for those interested. I measured an "X" pattern from the frame crossbrace mount holes to the forward holes in the frame horn extensions to make sure there's no bends and I got exactly 121" on both sides. I'll remove the wheels, but otherwise you get everything you see for $2500, $1000 for the bare frame.

Your link was shortened but I think you're talking about a piece to the engine cover hinge. I'd like to sell that as a complete assembly so I'm asking $32, half of the price of new.

Are you talking about part 100705 EVAP/BLOWER ASSY? If so that part is no longer available. It sold for $1320 about 11 years ago. Make me an offer I can't refuse and it's yours as it is still in the bodytub, is complete and intact.

I believe you are correct, which is why I'm only parting out 10077 because it is damaged so badly. If I weren't asking 50% of DMCH prices for everything I might make more but my goal is to get rid of parts, not sit on them forever.

The cylinder that your key goes into also has a pin of sorts that goes into the column and locks it in place. You can turn the steering wheel some before it locks the wheel in place.

Sad to say by my ignition cylinder was one of the first things to go as I believe they're no longer available.
