Just did a great car show last night (300 cars cruising down the main street....the DMC was a hit!).
On the way home I noticed a noise everytime I pressed the clutch pedal. when I got home and tried it in the garage, it was a very loud "creak" coming from the area of the slave cylinder (which is new)....please tell me that the linkage from the slave to the clutch needs some lube? Anyone ever have this problem?

thanks
John

There is a pivot ball on the clutch fork. Probably needs to be greased. Which generally requires you to drop the trans.

some large amounts of WD-40 on the clutch fork has quieted it down....we will see how that holds up

Yeah - you can trickle some oil down the backside of the clutch fork, but there is a risk of getting carried away and oiling the clutch. Then it gets really fun to drive (grabby).

It's just a temporary fix until the summer driving season ends, then I will have to replace some roll pins, tighten the end nut and replace the clutch while I'm in there.

Mine does this when it is cold. No amount of lubricant will get rid of this noise without removing the box. It does pretty much go away when the car gets up around operating temperature.
