Paid a visit to VIN 2139 today

After a scheduled appointment in west LA, I decided to visit 2139 again. Still covered in dust waiting for a new future.

I attempted to contacted the tenant who has that spot in the building where 2139 is rotting with the intent of getting a price.

they responded with "the car is not abandoned nor is it on the market but we will let you know if there is interest"

now i am motivated to get that car for a reasonable price in a legal manner.

however i never got to the owner directly.

What do you mean by "legal manner"? This car obviously belongs to someone. And if that person wanted to sell it they would.

Some people seem to think they can claim that a car is abandoned and file papers with the state to claim the car and retitle it. I've heard of this happening for truly abandoned cars, but this car clearly isn't abandoned, just neglected.

Just to let everyone know, this car has been saved and is now living in the uk.

I'm the new owner and will be restoring it, I'll post up my progress for you when I start.

I think you should update everyone on this thread on all the back and forths about finding the owner, changing his mind etc.

I realised that it wasn't a red car from the dealer due to the treble over spray over parts and once I got some paint off I found areas that had been repaid.. thankfully they had been fixed in the right way and not just fifer!

Haha! I did thank that to but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't tast like pizza! Lol.
