Water Leak Through Front CRTSY Lamp

I've got water pouring through my front courtesy lamp when I wash the car.

I've checked the recall bulletin and even re-siliconed the front and back infill panels. The only place that i can see lacking in silicone is around the drivers side wiring loom from the roof box to the door. It looks like it has no silicone around it. That's my guess.

Have I missed anything?

The top of the Windshied may have become disbonded under the header panel, It's not all that uncommon.

If the top of the windshield leaks the water will come in over the fiberglass edge (visible through the glass), generally not through the dome light as that would require the water to flow uphill.

Unfortunately a water leak anywhere through the fiberglass, door hinges, etc. will travel over the headliner and come out of the dome light as that is the low point in the headliner. About the only way to find the real leak is take out the headliner.

Well, I removed the windshield trim panel and inspected the everything. Toby and John did a nice job during the replacement and I saw no places of possible ingress.

Still, i added another film of sealant everywhere i could think of, even under the T-panel where the roof box meets the fibreglass. I revisited the service bulletin as well. After curing, reassembly and a car wash I have just as much water as before... which is a lot!

I'm running out of ideas so it's looking like i'll have to remove the headliner and literally sit in the car while my wife sprays the hose to find this leak.

Did you ever find out where it came from? Mine is experiencing quite a similar leak. I was told there was a section of steel bonded in the roof box that rusts out behind the upper windshield trim. I'm about to pull that and look.

Make sure the outer door seals are in place and not torn. Too much water in that trough and it can overflow into the car.
