Anyone know if they make thinner shock spacers that fit in at the base of the shock between the bushing and the lower control arm? I've been looking but can't find anything definitive. I am installing some Bilstein shocks and the lower bushing is wider than the stock ones. I had enough trouble just making the original bushings fit the stock shocks, which means they certainly won't fit these shocks.

OK one thought I just had was to just stack washers equally on each side until I had a tight fit. Would this be a safe option?

They probably ought to be hardened washers, not plain hardware grade.

I did this last year when I (temporarily) ran some cheapy AutoZone front shocks. Didn't have any problems...but I don't drive a lot...
