My D is misbehaving, hopefully I can get some idea as to what the culprit is.
The D is missing in higher gears (4th), I downshift to 3rd or 2nd and it goes away. Also after having sat for 2 or 3 hrs I couldn't get it started, took 3 tries and when it turned over it sputtered till I reved up and then smoothed out. I suspect a fuel accumulator. I also plan on replacing the plugs, wires and distributor cap/rotor. Any other thing I should be looking at/
Thanks
Glen

Glen,
You are on track with the suspected causes of the problems.

Could also be a load of bad gas. Pull the pump and look inside. If you see a bubble of water moving around on the bottom you should drain the tank and wipe it out. Or it is worn spark plugs and bad ignition wires or some combination of all of the above.
