That they did. They are generally more pleasant and fairer to the folks they deal with (however much of that is real vs TV, anyway) than the Pawn Stars guys anyway.

Definitely! With a car sitting that long, not running, and needing some serious fuel system work, I just about fell out of my chair when he asked $18k! But overall, I think the car looked pretty good.

If we are talking about the episode I think we are then, to be fair, he didn't want to sell it because he is intending to restore it with his son when he grows up - the $18k was in response to "what would it take for you to give that up". I thought that was a reasonable answer for that circumstance, and Mike and Frank appreciated the man had little desire to sell it.

A nice change after Pawn Stars, indeed. This is the kind of stuff I like to see on National Television when it comes to the DeLorean and it's legacy. Not some cheap shot to be on television, the way Bob and Pawn Stars was towards the car.

A good solid price, especially for the condition it was in. I would really like to see how it looks after it's been restored.

Watched the episode on History's website. They were pretty excited to get the sign, although I think it was a bit rough. One thing I noticed is those two never have a bad thing to say about anything or anybody. They check any attitude they may have at the door and just come off as genuine. Some people see something they regard as less than nice and they can't wait to tell the owner how little they think of it...those people are douches(Rick Harrison, J. Clarkson, Quenton Wilson, etc.)

Then you have guys like Mike and Frank...Class acts, and I'm not saying that because they are fans of my dream car. They could very well not think much about it at all, but you would never know it because they have too much integrity to try and boost their own ego at the expense of yours.

You wanna see some "proof" (read: TV proof, since I've never met them in person) how classy they are, watch this week's episode "Going Hollywood" - their interaction with the guests on this episode was so genuine and awesome my wife and I actually laughed out loud and got a little choked up during the course of the show.

Agreed 100% that these are guys I'd deal with in a heartbeat, especially over the likes of the Pawn Stars and their ilk.

Especially when someone offers $5 for something and Mike/Frank then tell them no way, we'll give you $100/$500/etc and then explain why it has value... Real class!
