What type of pump for fuel system flush?

Can anyone elaborate on the type of pump I need to flush the fuel system?

TTait's How-To post mentions a "$12 electric pump at the auto parts store" and another post mentions an "el-cheapo pump" but I haven't seen anything that fits the description. Harbor Freight has an entire aisle of pumps, my only concern being that not all pumps are rated for flammable liquid.

I think what people are telling you is go to an auto parts store and get the cheapest generic carburetor-style fuel pump with hose fittings on it that they will sell you. The hard part is getting AZ to talk to you without saying a make/model first.

The pumps from Harbor Freight will probably work for a while, i.e. long enough to get the tank empty before they self-destruct from the gas and/or general poor quality. The gas in the tank (being 10 years old) is not particularly flammable, just work outside and be careful.

IIRC I went to a parts store and talked with the guy behind the counter, and had him do a computer search for fuel pump, sorted by price low to high, and we found an electric pump for about $12 out of some pickup truck...

I just did the same thing on ebay, and found this as the lowest price buy it now electric fuel pump currently listed:

for those looking elsewhere or in the future, that happens to be the pump from a Mazda b2200 pickup truck, and is selling for $14.
