My Delorean was in a short film- Photos

So I may have mentioned it on here before, but I do video production for a living. On the side, I like to make short films and movies with my friends and co-workers. Last weekend we participated in a "48-Hour Film Project," in which teams of filmmakers have to write, shoot and edit a short film in one weekend. I've owned my Delorean for over a year and a half now, and decided it was high time we featured it in one of our movies. Here are some behind-the-scenes stills of the car on set. That's me with the baseball hat. I will add actual screen shots from the film at a later date!

Oh, and the shot with the police car was not part of the film, we actually got pulled over by the cops. They were curious as to why we were driving a Delorean around at 1AM with a camera mounted to the hood.

I'll probably have the film up on Youtube in a couple weeks, we have to do some audio work and color correction first. We've already screened the film at a theater and the audience was cheering when the car showed up onscreen. Definitely a lot of fun!

And yes, the flat hood is very friendly to camera mounts :D

I'm afraid it isn't a camera but a turbo manometer if I remember well.

Interesting film. The photography was top notch but it seemed from the dialogue that these are not professional actors, are they? Great to see the D in there!

Thank you, we used local actors from the Cleveland area but since we only had one weekend to write and shoot everything, the actors didn't have any time to work on their lines! And for that matter, the writers didn't have much time to hone the script. That's part of the fun though!

Actually those suction devices need an absolute flat and even surface. Glass, paint etc. The grooves on the SS of the D lets minimal air through and could let the camera fly off at an abrupt maneuver.
