I've looked all over the site to find a refresher for adjusting fuel mixture but couldent find it.
Here's what I remember:
Dewel meter set to 6cyl
Forgot the connecting points of the meter. I know one goes to the orange wire on the diag plug
Should read 45-55
Adjust left lean right rich only a 1/16 of a turn at a time
Replug the adjustment hole and wait for the engine to adjust .

Anyone have anything to add?

Dwell is set to 4 cyl. Good test is press the WOT switch and your meter reads solid ?? dwell. I use duty cycle and it's 60%.
I think you want the normal dwell reading about 30 deg on a warm engine

Like Dave said. And if you keep the O2 sensor connected (easier), then you're looking for values of 35-45 instead.

Workshop Manual:
D:04:01
...
11. Check Dwell operation for duty cycle is 50%

D:04:15
...
5. Pulse Ratios:
A. Normal Operation (Sensor connected and CO properly adjusted) — 35-45° (reading pulsates)
B. Oxygen sensor disconnected — 40-50° (steady reading)
C. Oxygen sensor lead disconnected. Ground lead — 87° minimum (steady reading)
D. Oxygen sensor lead disconnected. 1.5 volts applied to lead — 20° maximum (steady reading)
E. Full throttle or engine cold (below 15°C or 59°F) — 50-60° (steady reading)

You have the connections correct (4 cylinder dwell setting).
(The engine should be warmed up and ALL other settings should be done first.)
Leave the vacuum lines alone, but remove the allen wrench and plug the hole with your finger while taking a reading. When you think it is right, rev it ~2000 RPM for ~10 seconds, let it idle to spec, and read again.
