What is this wire?

Can anyone tell me what the thin wire (it is hollow) coming off the front of the left pontoon is. It sits about 4-5 inches back from the firewall along the left pontoon. What is it and what does it do? Sorry no pics yet, but hopefully the description will jog someones knowledge. I don't believe it to be a vacuum line, its way way to thin, looks almost like a coat hanger wire but black

:yesss: I second that. I see those broken all the time. You will have to really look hard behind everything to find its home. Its kinda by and under the fuel distributor.

I just dealt with this over the weekend with a little help from Dave. I posted a picture of where it attaches to the distributor in my thread called "Broken Vacuum Advance Hose".

Haha, I was having the reverse problem. I was looking for the vacuum line for my hot water valve. This sure made it easy :D
