Main door seals

Does anyone have a good source for main door seals?

I bought the dmc huston kit and i gotta say i just hate it! I've been told they rip because the door is out of alignment, but how can this be if in the first 2 weeks or so the seals are good and upon opening the door they are ripped? I personally think the rubber is cheap in compairison to the OEM seals.

Thoughts?

The problem is probably in the door alignment and fiberglass. If you want to stop going through seals quickly then correcting the door issues will be required. Any seal regardless of quality can not hold up to the two main rub spots of the door/seal.

There are things you can do to extend the life of the door seals. Clean the door well where the seals rub. Spray some silicone lubricant onto a rag and wipe the seal and the door where the seal rubs.

Never wipe the seals with silicone lubricant. It becomes tacky and attracts dirt. Leather/rubber conditioner is a safe non tacky solution.

At some point of the past 6-12 months I stumbled across a thread on here that had a reference to McMaster-Carr seal options for the inners. According to my notes the outers were still a DMCH part. Here's the url: http://www.mcmaster.com/#bulb-seals/=lkaohn and the part # I have that is supposed to work: 1120A232 or 1120A332

Don't hold me to this. I haven't personally tested these parts yet. I'm waiting until I purchase my replacement carpet set so I can do carpets and seals (and maybe a couple of other things) all at once.
