Any words of advice before I pull the pully bracket to replace the bearings?

Don't loose the bolt spacers and while you have big bracket off, replace the O-ring behind the CAM hole cover.

Take a picture of how it goes together, before it comes apart. Spread the parts out in an exploded view to ensure everything goes back together right.

Not sure what the deal was on my car, but of the 3 bolts (or is it 4?) together, I've had to repair 2 of the threads by using helicoils. I don't know if a PO over-torqued them or if it is related to the heat or vibration in that area, but when the bolts came out they felt normal from being tight, but going back in they spun when run in by fingers. Then all the threads came out on the bolt.

For pressing the bearings out, I used a combination of pipe nipples & sockets with a vice to press them out. To install, put the bearings in the freezer & you can also put the pulleys in the oven at about 300-350 & you should be able to just drop the bearings into place before the temperatures change too much.

People way overtighten those bolts. All the time.

Is there a torque figure for them? I don't see one in the manual so we just went to "tight"

Main thing is go finger tight, then tension the belt with the long bolt, then go "snug" on the two bolts on the slider. It is an o-ring seal, and the tension bolt is still there, so they don't need to be very tight, just enough to not back out. I think people go after them with a 3/8 ratchet, where a 1/4" ratchet would be plenty. I've never seen a torque spec on that bolt, but typically a 7 mm screw into aluminum is about 11 ft-lb

One had already seized and I got it going to get me through Friday... glad I didn't wait another day.
