Older Gentlemen brought one by,
Said his dad bought it brand new in 1981 and left it to him when he passed away.
He started at about $50,000 and quickly went down to $25,000
Les Gold offered him $14,000 and the guy said junky ones go for $14,000
(Funny) I paid $14,000 for mine and it looks as good as that guy's and run's great!
Long story short, They couldn't make a deal and the guy drove off.
The main deal breaker for Les Gold was he kept saying it smelled bad.

I think the car looked really good on camera. Grey interior 5 speed grooved hood with front fender mount antenna and built in door pull
straps. Therefore, probably a November 81 build car. It had a slightly faded tail light. Yeah, DeLoreans have an interesting smell to them. So what. Not a deal breaker unless it is from rat droppings and or mold. Who knows what the frame, engine, luggage compartment, or electrical compartment looks like. Seems like every reality show has to have a Delorean in it. Lol.

Ha! Yes, DeLoreans DO have a funny smell to them and they ALL smell about the same! At least to me, anyway.

First off, the smell is 100% pure Northern Irish swag - we all paid a little extra for that :wink:

Second, I personally had my fill of 'reality show' DeLorean's before the first one ever aired.

The DeLorean seems to have become a reality show staple.
