How to remove SS fender panels in order to paint the fascia?

Paul Haga & I have discussed painting his front fascia but the problem is that removing the fascia is a PITA and you don't get good edges when painted on the car. I suggested that instead of removing the fascia to get good edges, to remove the hood & SS panels and paint the fascia on the car.
- Is there a description about removing the front fenders (I didn't find one)?
- Can you remove the fenders without removing the front fascia?
- How many & where are the screws holding the SS panels to the body?

The diagrams show 3 bolts towards the rear of the panel but it is unclear what happens up front. Also, the bad news is that they are held by Rivnuts... My experience is that many Rivnuts are frozen to the bolt making removal DIFFICULT.

There are I think 3 bolts up front under facial that need to be removed. Not sure if possible without removing fascia but I doubt it because fender goes under.

The fascia can come off with only removing the hood, fenders stay put.

This is a good idea, however the fascia needs to be completely removed before the fenders can be removed. Which defeats the whole purpose of what you want to do.

I removed my LFF a few years ago without removing the front fascia, cant remember the exact process but I do remember access was very tight to the front screws/ bracket.

I suppose it isn't impossible, however It would be tricky and damaging the fascia would be a possibility.

The fascia can be removed without removing the hood as long as the screws in the hood area aren't rusted. A 1/4 wrench with a #2 phillips bit taped securely in it will remove them.

The idea was to remove the fenders & hood and leave the fascia on. The hope was that removing the fenders & hood was substantially easier than removing the fascia.
