Passenger mirror stuck

My passenger mirror is stuck. The left mirror power adjustments work in all four directions (left/right/up/down), but the right side mirror power adjustments only work for left/right. For a few days two weeks ago the up/down worked (after not working for months), and now it's stuck again. This suggests to me that the switch and the motor are good -- so where should I be troubleshooting?

Behind the mirror, on the motor there are 2 red pins that aid in both setting and stabilizing the mirror.
Perhaps one or both of those pins are either stuck or have fallen out of their mounts.

Turn the mirror glass in the most inward position and look behind the mirror into the housing if the pins are still there and fit.
You may have to remove the mirror glass to repair.
For removal you will need a heat gun, a wide paint scraper and a lot of patience otherwise you might break the glass.

Before you pull the mirror, there is a connector in the door that should be checked. Just unplug it and plug it back in and see if the mirror works again. Again, that was another issue with my car.

I agree with Dave.

I thought the guide pins was the issue on mine until I removed the entire mirror assembly and brought it round to the drivers side and plugged it in. IN short it worked 100%. Also tried wire swapping on the mirror switch. My problem is in the wiring somewhere between the switch and the passenger door. I'm guessing its the connector in the roof box but I've yet to investigate.
