My rheostat is likely completely shot. I went ahead and just connected the red/orange and red/white wires together for now. Does anyone know the range of resistance that the stock dimmer dial covers?

Yep, the replacement rheostat on that website's Lucas page.
Have it in my car and it works as intended.

That's right, that's the one.
You only have to "adjust" the connection spades.
In this position they won't fit the space.

I purchased that exact same Rheostat from DMC Northwest in Bellevue, Washington.
Rheostat part number 100814 on page 3/6/2 of the Parts Manual.

I named the Rheostat “One Fifty Five”. Why do I call it “One Fifty Five”? Because that is how HOT it gets in Fahrenheit degrees. I connected the wires to make sure it works and almost burned my fingers while holding it to rotate the knob an
