Here is an article that just appeared online.

Check out some of the Ds for sale on the right hand side. I particularly like the black one and the "expert" care taken to make sure the engine bay looks correct.

That dealership seems to get some of the ropiest cars available. I've seen a couple of others and they are all cheap for a reason.

What the hell did you expect for 10k? For 10k I'm surprised that it even runs. Still, they could have taken 5 minutes to put the air cleaner on right and straighten the shift lever.
On another note:

....and even has plans to restart production of “new build” De Loreans, which had been offered until the sale of the company’s stainless steel frame supplier

I guess this explains why the "New Build" section has been removed from DeLorean.com

Who said it runs? They certainly don't.

Marketed as "excellent addition for any collection."

Pretty good article. Seeing some of the cars for sale makes me wish I was loaded and could buy them up and save them from the horrible condition they are in.

Thanks for posting the link to that Hemmings article.

It's more accurate than most retrospectives are with the author having spent a fair bit of time researching the history - given that he's not a D. owner.

How do we know he's not an owner? Check out the 30+ fairly respectful postings that have now accumulated beneath that article. You will find that the author is now smitten and is already planning his D engine swap:
