Valve Adjustment Success

Just thought it was worth reporting that my valve adjustment this week was a success, so, one way or another, if you haven't done it yet or don't know the last time it was done to your car, I think you should do it or get it done. It is a bit quieter and I even think it has a tad more get-up... Not much mind you but I do seem to notice a slight difference.

No, sorry... I gave the shop manual to my mechanic (along with some other DMCTalker-provided info) and let him do it... I am not mechanically advanced enough to attempt such a job... no matter how 'easy' some say it is.
And from what I remember, our literature says that in a tune up, the D should have it's vavles adjusted every 10,000 miles and I know it hasn't been done in that many miles since I've had it and I am willing to be that it wasn't done at all over the life of the car, so I got it done.

Pretty sure it's every 30,000 miles, which coincides with the O2 (lambda) sensor.

I've done it using the Shop Manual for reference. It's pretty straight forward. It tells what position to have the crank in and which 6 valves are "on the rock" Loaded. You adjust the unloaded ones of coarse. Then rotate the engine 1 full revolution to adjust the other 6 valves. Pretty simple.
