Quick question on frequency valve fuel lines

Im going to be installing a set of new stainless steel fuel lines and Im trying to figure out how to remove the input and output lines on the frequency valve. Do you just take an open end wrench on the input line and turn counterclockwise? Can't figure out the output line at all either. Also, is there a copper crush washer needed on either line?
