This is fantastic! Love lists like this, thanks for keeping it up. I always wondered how many cars were in museums, and wanted to keep a list too (along with my other lists), but thought it too difficult to keep up with. Very interesting indeed. 65 cars, and now +1 in Thailand. Keep up the good work.

Could the museum in Thailand (or any of them in fact), be emailed to ask them for the VIN? With a short blurb on why you're asking, like historical preservation reasons, they shouldn't be too adverse about coughing up the VIN.

that's typically what I do, asking for a bit of info on the car, how they came by it, does it have any special significance etc. That's how I got many of the VINs on that list. The ones that are "VIN??" have never replied. Hopefully someone will visit and get the details for us.

(I got a short note from them this morning say that they are working on a proper reply, so watch this space.)

That car looks to be in excellent condition. I wonder if it is a restoration or a garage kept original.

I also visited the Reno museum, maybe 15 years ago, and saw the gold car there. Great museum! The only place I've ever seen a Stutz Bearcat (one of the other auto passions of mine).

After a series of email with the very nice curator, I can report that this is VIN 797, perhaps surprisingly. The interior color has been changed to grey and the hood is now flap-less, though he says that some of the photos on file of the car show a gasflap.

Interestingly, the museum (or at least the owner, Mr Jeseda) has a second car, 10285, also that is undergoing restoration.

So, if you happen to be passing by, pop in and have a look at this fascinating facility

The very nice curator sent me a couple more photos, this time of 10285 in a microcar parade through Bangkok, with an interesting tan/peanut-butter interior. I asked him for a picture of the dash, but haven't got one yet.

The interior looks like an another one (don't remember the country, I think Singapore) but the steering wheel was on the right.

I remember those pictures. Looks like the saddle brown original seats, only it does not go well with the carpets in the car to my opinion.
The Giugiaro Delorean however looks very good. I keep on thinking to change my interior to a taupe brown, I think it would look great, but my interior is in excellent condition so that would be rediculous to do. But it would be a nice change than the always returning gray and black.
