Seen this car for sale before, don't know why still for sale, maybe people afraid to call due to the owner's vocabulary, or maybe this car is not worth the price. Anyway, here it is for those looking to buy.

I'd rather take that 928 next to it than a red D.

What's with his maths?? Spent 32k and is selling for 12k?
Does he mean weight wise? 32 Kilos??

A least John Z would be proud! FINALLY a D selling for his dream prize of 12K :P

Not 100% sure but I believe this car had been in the market for over a year. Something doesn't add on.

Yeah, that's been listed for at least a year. You tend to remember the painted ones.

Always on CL but never on eBay.

I have to assume the 32k includes the price of the car.

Oh yes now I just realized that my surname is like the middle name of our Lord John DeLorean! What a coincidence!

...or is it destiny?

"Most of all don't waste my time & yours with stupid offer, If you don't have the money then don't call or text. I don't deal with idiots."

That's an excellent sales technique, I'm sure most people reading this simply CANNOT WAIT to meet this pleasant fellow...

If that guy doesn't deal with idiots, all you have to tell him is:

I know you don't deal with idiots but I do, let's make a deal! :D

I know I'm going to be alone here, but I don't think it looks half bad in red...

Surely idiots are the best people to 'deal" with?

I love red DeLoreans... especially those with black interiors. It's a sharp looking combination.

"This the B-Car from Back To The Future, M.J. Fox took it home at night while they were shooting. It's also the same car that Johnny Carson got stuck in, and that John DeLorean later gave to his wife. As you know only 800 were ever made, and there are only 12 still running... I can't go a dime under $50k, do we have a deal?"

First DeLorean I ever saw in persona was painted red. I was 16 years old and eating with friends at the Racine County, Wis A&W on I-94 when the guy pulled in. The car had Illinois plates. I was all giddy and excited and rushed to finish my food so that I could go and check out the car. For some reason, I remember the interior being tan, but that can't be right - must have been gray/grey. The finish of the paint wasn't the greatest and the interior wasn't in the best of shape either, as I recall the dash being cracked/splitting and the seat covers with some small tears. It was still cool to see - after all it was my first time seeing my dream car up close

Reason this car is still for sale is simple: Price

I bought my red delorean for about the same price, only mine ran and was kept indoors by a private car collector with only 15k miles on it when I bought it. A non-runner that's painted can't be worth much more than 7-8k. He needs to cut his price by at least 1/3rd if he's serious about moving it.
