Hi everyone,
Just a quick question! What is the going rate for an immaculate, absolutely no flaws original Binnacle (in black)? We have one that is 100% flawless in every possible way that we are considering selling. I looked at closed eBay auctions to get an idea but all of the ones that have sold there are in poor condition. Any ideas?

Probably not much. But I'll give you a dollar for it if you can cover shipping.

Depending on how desperate a concours owner is, maybe 400+ dollars if you hold out long enough for the right buyer. My advice, run it on eBay with a buy it now of 1000.00 or best offer. Ed B had one like you are describing for 1000.00, but I don't know if it sold or not. Let the auction run indefinitely and just wait it out. If you get no hits, then you can always drop your asking price. It costs you no more than a insertion fee if it doesn't sell, then figure on about 10% if it does sell so keep that in mind when you review offers.
Don't list it here, this bunch will low ball you to death. The way they see it, if you are a DeLorean owner, then you are "brothers" and you need to throw market value aside and "hook a brother up". If you are not a DeLorean owner, then you have no business owning a DeLorean part...thus you should just give it away.
Ebay..always
Edit: see above post for an example of what I was talking about.

Michael is right on regarding price for an NOS perfect binnacle HOWEVER depending on the outcome of this thread, the price could change drastically.

Simple answer....it is worth what someone will pay. There is not a steady stream of them for sale, so there is no "going rate". It can go the way of Toby tabs. A slew of them came on the market one after the other this past year and prices were all over the place. I'm sure you'll get some PMs out of this though.

On a lark, call Houston. They won't pay you top dollar, but they might give you a really nice credit on other parts. If you think ts worth 400, see if they will give you 500 in parts traded? win/win.
