Hey Everyone! We (wife and I) just bought a house in Pawling NY (near Poughkeepsie). I'm wondering if there are any owners or regular meet-ups near there...? If not, I am thinking of trying to get a bi-weekly or monthly group together to tinker on our cars (hopefully there is a mechanical guru in the area!). The closest group for me was the Long Island club when I kept my car in the city but now it is a bit too far away. Anyone?

Congratulations Matt.
Sorry to see you move so far away. You will always be a member of our club. We will have to do a road trip to come visit!

I will still be close some of the time - we are keeping our city apartment - and Lordy (!), I have a few issues you and Dave could help tackle for sure! Can you be out "Upstate Tech Guru"?

I am about 15 minutes away from the TZ bridge in NJ. There are plans for a Spring Social Tech session in April being worked on and one of the sites being considered is in northern NJ.

Very cool. Is there a list of owners or "club" in that area?

Watch the French connection and it will make sense.

The whole area is served by the DMA. There are also a lot of local owners who get together informally amongst themselves. There is a new owner in Rye Brook, one in Yonkers, several in Rockland county and many in Bergan county. Not everyone is on this forum.

Hi there! I went to college up in Poughkeepsie at Marist, and love the area. I am currently in Morristown, NJ, about 1 hr 20 min. If you ever want to meet up on a weekend or do a small drive let me know. For me, the drive there and back is easy as I have easily done it hundreds of times. The DeLorean Mid Atlantic group has done events up around Suffren, NY, so not terribly far from you. I myself have been wanting to do an event up around Hyde Park for many years.

Welcome to the area.

Marist? You mean Harvard on the Hudson? I grew up in Poughkeepsie until I moved to France at age 7. Then back to Hopewell Jct. (Hopeless Junkyard we called it). I went to Arlington High. After that, up to Troy and Rensselaer Polytech.
