delorean reverse switch

hi my reverse lights were not working I have traced it to the switch just curious is this the same one? I am going to go to my parts store and maybe get this one

It certainly looks close but hard to say without placing them side by side for comparison. Before you condemn your switch, unscrew it from the transmission a few turns then do another continuity test across the terminals. If you get nothing replace the switch. If it works, try reinstalling it with an extra copper washer gasket.

I just replaced my reverse switch a month ago on my manual transmission. The end of the switch that goes into the transmission has a ball end on it instead of the slant that the one in the link has. I'm not saying it won't work, just saying there is a difference. I ordered my replacement from DMC and it works great.
