View Full Version : General Down for the count

I have been down for the count with pneumonia now for weeks on end. Unfortunately this hasn't been the pleasant walking type and I am flat on my back. I was hoping to rebound quickly from this but that hasn't been the case. Luckily this hit before and through the holidays when time away is somewhat possible. Now that we are full swing into the new year there is a growing concern on my lack of or slower than normal response time. I apologize and will quickly respond to everyone as soon as I possibly can. I am the soul contact here at DPI and while that annoys some it works well to keep me in touch with the community. I'm hoping one more week of this will be it and I can be back into the swing of things. I wanted to avoid bringing this up publicly but it is very difficult to miss this much time at the company without giving a heads up and I would hate for speculation to get the best of things. 8)

A while back a similar thing happened to John at SpecialT. He had to have his appendix removed and for a while he was MIA. These things happen when it is not a large organization. Patience, and everything will turn out OK.

The bummer here is that even when you are back on your feet you'll be in catch up mode for weeks. That in itself adds to the duration of Illness.

Best of luck on your recovery.

Get well soon.

Josh:
YOU are a big asset to the DeLorean community. Lie low, and take your time to get back to your old self. Oh yeah stay indoors, it's cold out there!!! Dave G.

I hope you feel better soon Josh. Take care of you first and the DMC community second. Thanks for taking the time to tell us what you're going through. It's not a fair way that rumors get started like you mentioned, but it can be a good reminder for any of us not to jump to conclusions in life. Give the benefit of the doubt. Kind of like this:

Hey Josh, I just had a brother recover from a bout with pneumonia and I know what you
are going through. You need to forget about work as much as you can
and concentrate on getting yourself well.
4915 can wait until you get well.

How dare you not man up and work through your illness. Rest is for the weak. Get back to work, slacker.

(Feel better.)

Josh @ Delorean industries met and or exceeded my expectations. 01-12-14

Picked my D up on the Sunday the 12th the repairs were the first of three phase project.
All were mechanical in nature I.E. cooling system, fuel system, engine work, tune-up, clutch work, manual transmission work, windshield and LH/RH leather pillar replace.

I got back home and drove the car around a bit and and I am very happy with the work performed. I can't wait for phase 2 later in the summer.

Thanks Josh for a job well done!
