I have no idea what CES stands for.

Do we know who's build that is? VideoBob?

Wow, was there a "mall security guard" convention going on next door too? Looks like all the effort to accommodate the famous car or famous people might be costing a few fans the fun part of it. Hey, I have an idea, how about you enjoy being there in the moment and stop worrying about getting the perfect picture for you to post online?

... "yea, he's right there in the front seat." (...cause he'd be kind of hard to see if he was in the back seat.)

I thought it was Willie Robertson @ first glance.

Timely comment, the XKCD comic from yesterday (http://xkcd.com/1314/) was talking about exactly this. Made a good point about how different people enjoy big moments in different ways.

Nice ES-345!

I've always loved the fact that Marty, (in 1955), plays a modified Gibson ES-345 at the dance 3 years before Gibson released them in 1958. :headscratch:

Nice. Glad others have noticed the same thing.

I know there are times I look back at places I went or things I saw and wonder if I was really there. I would spend so much time behind the lens trying to capture it that I missed out just seeing it with my own eyes and soaking it in.

I don't take my camera out very much because of it anymore. Car shows are a good example. I look at the 1,000s of car photos I have and think I don't really need all the ones I have much less any more. Much more fun (for me anyway) to just wander around and see it or talk to people than only see it through the lens.

To each his own I guess. Until the life capturing photographer is the guy 3 inches from your rear bumper as he fumbles with his camera phone and the steering wheel at the same time trying to get the hilarious photo of your car for his Fakebook page.

Ha ha!! I know right?
It was actually a 1967, I have one.... The ES345 was a STEREO guitar and needs a special cross over cable, pretty cool.

Wine Red is my favorite finish that Gibson uses on those.
My favorite Gibson right now is my Dusk Tiger.

cool! neat to see Lloyd with the car and the guitar, would have been neat to see MJ. Fox there too.

The cameras were annoying as heck.. I'm a photographer, and I really hope I don't appear like some of those people. I'm sure some of them got some good shots, but still. :/

Bargain!

There is one for sale in the UK for an Dr. Evil-ish "one million dollars".

Though that may just be a PR stunt ;)

Do you know if Danny is building another one? Hard to imagine him not owning a BTTF DeLorean.

His intent is to build a BTTF3 (the one that runs through the desert).

Makes sense, there aren't a lot of BTTF3 cars out there so it would certainly be more unique and less competition for those looking to rent a part 3 car for events.

With the VW frame and engine?
