Alternator not charging
Alternator not charging car shuts off after about 5minutes. I charged up the battery after that it's 12.66v now.
Just wanted to know where to troubleshoot since its so cold out now. Last time it ran it with no issues was about 1 month ago then I started it yesterday and now this problem, any help would be appreciated.
Also wit the car running if I disconnect the battery via a cut off swicth the car dies immediately, hit by accident. No Battery light is on when the car is running and the voltmeter says less than 12v on the dash?

It could just be the bulb is burnt out. It is necessary to complete a circuit so the alternator can work. It can also be the wiring. The bulb is supposed to light when the key is on and the motor is NOT running. If the bulb is OK you probably need to rebuild or replace the alternator.

Does the Battery light illuminate if the key is turned to the run position (NO Cranking)?

If you want to check the bulb circuit you don't need to remove the binnacle to do a simple test. Disconnect the small Brown/ yellow wire at the Alternator. Do a continuity test between that wire terminal and good ground. If you have continuity the BULB is NOT burnt out. But If you are Open (possible burnt bulb) or a very high Ohm's reading you likely have some connection cleaning to do.

A weak/dead battery is different than a disconnected battery if I'm not mistaken. The weak battery won't break the circuit but your disconnect switch will.

Agreed on David's advice of checking the bulb in the start-up sequence. Turn the key and tell us what lights come on initially.

It also cannot be an LED bulb either...it won't complete the circuit.

Very big clue that the charging light is not illuminating. You have to figure out why. It could be a wiring problem, a burnt bulb, or something in the alternator. If it was recently working the most likely suspect is the bulb. While you are looking around check the bottom of the alternator. If you see a sticky black goo the regulator in the alternator is bad.

Problem solved bad bulb
Not sure why haven't used it in a month. All bulbs were new along with LED but not the Battery one
It was covered with a white residue???? Is that something to be concerned about?

Also does anyone know what type of incandlesant bulb to replace it with
I have heard 161 but others have said another but I can't remember?
The one I have in there is not new so before I button everything back up. I would like a new bulb in there.

Not always, sometimes a Dead Battery will act as disconnected if the plates inside are broken. If a lot of loads are turned off, the Alternator should be able to run the vehicle(though there will be a lot of electrical noise and it's possible the older modules made back then can't handle it).
